Moscow, Oct 7 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin assured in Bali, Indonesia, that Russia will widen the energy collaboration with Asian countries, as much regarding the supply of hydrocarbons as of high technology, particularly nuclear energy. Speaking before the entrepreneurs attending to the summit of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) Putin highlighted the importance of energy resources for the Asian economic development.
“Conscious of our responsibility in the sector, we plan to widen the energy collaboration with our partners,” said Putin.
He said that Moscow includes deliveries of gas and oil and export operations for nuclear technology for peaceful objectives, and reminded that Russian specialists are successfully working in projects in China and India, responding to demanding requirements for nuclear security, called by him as “post-Fukushima requisites.”
Putin also said great hydro-electric plans go forward in Russia, to export energy to APEC member countries.
He mentioned the Russian vast hydrocarbon reserves and the extension of the Russian oil fields .
Putin announced that Russian corporation NOVATEK is working in several projects in the Peninsula of Yamal (Vladivostok) and Sajalin, east of Russia.
Russia signed a contract with China in June, for a total of 270 billion dollars for 25 years, to double the sales of oil to China.
Besides, Russian public group ROSNEFT president Igor Setchin said the group will deliver 365 million tons of of oil to Chinese company CNPC this year.
The APEC Forum is formed by 21 countries: Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, South Korea, US, Philippines, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malasia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.
These economis represent 40 percent of the world production, 55 percent of the world�s Gross Domestic Product and 44 percent of the planet�s trade.
