Fidel Castro Offered Interview to Venezuelan TV Station

The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, offered last Sunday an interview to Venezolana de Television, media outlets in Cuba and abroad reported on Thursday. The Cuban website http://www.cubadebate.cu posted photos of the interview conducted by Venezuelan journalist Mario Silva.

The Cuban website www.cubadebate.cu posted photos of the interview conducted by Venezuelan journalist Mario Silva, who said he came to Havana to dismantle a media campaign launched by the Venezuelan opposition and by anti-Cuba right-wing groups in Miami who were spreading rumors that Fidel Castro might be sick or near death.
In Venezuela, Silva showed the collection of photos from the interview on his program “La Hojilla” on Wednesday night, and said he expected the full interview to be broadcast soon.
“I am sorry to inform those who are enjoying themselves by believing that Comandante Fidel has had a stroke that he is alive and kicking,” Silva said.
In the photos, Fidel Castro appears relaxed and healthy, sitting in an easy chair and wearing a white jacket and green pants.
