Cuba opens a wireless communications laboratory

Havana, Cuba.- Commander of the Revolution and Vice-president of the Council of State of Cuba, Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, and the Spanish ambassador, Manuel Cacho, inaugurated in the Polytechnic University José Antonio Echeverría (CUJAE), in the Cuban capital, a laboratory of wireless communications. 
Alicia Alonso Becerra,vVice-chancellor of the academic institution, explained that organization increases the scientific research related to radio communications, a branch that centers the sector´s attention on a world-wide scale. 

She added the laboratory of wireless communications in CUJAE, that counts on the support of the Spanish university of Cantabria, favors the development of technologies, teaching and training of specialists. 

In the opening of the center, associate Professor Francisco Marante said the laboratory will contribute to increase the quality of the fundamental processes of education.
