Cuba keeps working all schools of special education

Havana, Cuba.– In spite of the limitations imposed by the criminal American blockade and the negative impact of world-wide economic crisis, Cuba keeps functioning the school network of Special Education, with 396 institutions of that kind in all the Island.
At present, 15 thousand professionals teach more than 40 thousand students, using different methods, which allows to those children, wheb they conclude their stay in the Special Education, to pass to schools of the National System of Education. 

The subsystem of the Special Education in Cuba takes care of students with a diagnosis of mental retardation, retardation in the psychic development, autism, language disorder and low vision or blindness, among others limitations.

The students who cannot attend the special schools because of determined causes, receive classes at home and it was also considered the attention to those who remain in hospitals for a long time.
