Youngest generations to lead and close the May Day parade in Plaza de la Revolución

THE youngest generations are to lead and close the parade on Saturday at Plaza de Revolución, in which workers from the capital and their families will celebrate May Day.


Your browser may not support display of this image. In total, 10 blocs are to comprise this spirited and combative march in representation of Havana’s 15 municipalities and the 18 national trade unions, taking into account that the mobilization is organized by residential area.

However, in a number of areas, workers from other sectors and activities are to be integrated and there is a special one comprised of women.

The first bloc is to be led by students at the Vladimir Ilich Lenin High School Institute of Exact Sciences and the Eduardo García Delgado Art Instructors College. The march will end with thousands of students from emblematic teaching centers and revolutionary programs.

Throughout the course of this week, events commemorating the anniversary have been organized in work places, people’s councils, neighborhoods and towns, thus finalizing preparations for Saturday’s parades in plazas, parks and streets of the provincial capitals and municipalities.
