Honduras Resistance continues

TEGUCIGALPA, July 9.—Thousands of people marched for the tenth consecutive day today, condemning the military coup of June 28 and demanding the restoration of constitutional order.

Resistance continuesThe demonstrators came together in Loarque Plaza and then moved along the highway linking the capital to the south of the country and the city of Choluteca, the third most important.

Yesterday the protests had moved to eastern Tegucigalpa and, two days previously, supporters of President Manuel Zelaya marched through the exclusive upper class areas of the capital.

The demonstrators were calling for the positions of the social movements to be included in the mediation of the Costa Rican president, Oscar Arias, set to begin this Thursday.

They also rejected any attempt to legitimate the de facto government of entrepreneur and deputy, Roberto Micheletti and demanded the restoration of constitutional order and, with that, of President Zelaya. (PL)
